MVP Health Care Sponsors Bike Skills Camps

Local Motion is pleased to announce that MVP Health Care, a leading health insurance company in Vermont, is the exclusive 2011 sponsor of our youth bike skills training program.
With their support, we are expanding our trainings to include not only collaboration with summer camps, but also support for incorporating bike skills training into PE classes and after-school programs. Last year, over 500 children participated in our trainings. This year with MVP's help, we're aiming to teach 1,000 youth safe biking skills!
"MVP Health Care is proud to help such a worthwhile bike safety program grow," said Rebecca Couture, MVP's field marketing manager for New Hampshire and Vermont. "Arming young people with skills to navigate the roads with riding skills and confidence is a perfect match with MVP’s dedication to helping families get out and active."
Local Motion still has a few slots available for schools  that want to build bike skills into PE classes or after-school programs this spring. We can offer participating schools a complete set of equipment (including 33 bikes) in a secure trailer, along with a practical, easy-to-use curriculum and training to get teachers up to speed on how to teach bike skills effectively -- all at no charge! For info, contact Jason Van Driesche at  jason@localmotion.org or 861-2700 x109.This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
