The Trail Finder is a collaborative project led by Vermont non-profit Local Motion with the participation of many private and public entities. Scores of volunteers have ventured out to collect and verify trail data. You'll find their names at the bottom of each trail. The project began development in 2005 and launched publicly in the spring of 2008. Addison County trails were added the following year.
In 2010, three new regions were added to the Trail Finder with the help of non-profit partners in those areas.
